Privacy Policy

Overview

Random Pokémon Generator is a client-side utility. You do not need an account, and the core generator does not ask for your name, email address, payment details, or other personal information.

Generator and Share Links

Selections such as team size, filters, Pokémon IDs, seed, and locked positions are processed in your browser. When you choose Share exact result, those values are added to the page URL and copied to your clipboard. Anyone who receives that URL can see the encoded generator settings.

Do not place personal or confidential information in a shared URL.

Hosting and Technical Logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare may process standard request information such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, timestamps, response status, and security signals to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the service.

Pokémon Data and Images

Species data is prepared from the community-run PokéAPI dataset and stored with the site. Pokémon artwork is loaded from the PokéAPI sprite repository hosted on GitHub, so your browser makes requests to GitHub when images are displayed. Those services apply their own privacy policies.

Analytics and Advertising

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic and usage. Google Analytics may process page views, session statistics, approximate location, and browser or device information. Its JavaScript tag may set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish users and sessions. Google applies its own privacy and data-retention practices to this information.

The site does not currently enable advertising.

Cookies and Local Storage

The generator itself does not require tracking cookies. Google Analytics may use the first-party cookies described above, and the site framework may store limited display preferences in your browser. You can block or remove cookies and browser storage through your browser settings, although doing so may limit analytics collection.

Children

This fan-made tool is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

This policy may change when the site’s features or service providers change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version.
